TV and movie downloads

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a good site for downloading TV programmes and movies? I live abroad so can't use BBC iplayer (couldn't get it to work in the uk, anyway), the C4 service etc as they don't allow overseas use.

I have quite a slow internet connection so I'm getting really bored with going through the process of registering, downloading software, waiting ages for a file to download only to find the file and/or the program doesn't work!

Using iplayer is easy so dont know what you did but thats by the by, as you have a low connection it would take ages to download films etc, what connection speed do you get

A good legal site is uk nova which has all the uk tv shows available to download. You will need to sign upto the site and use a bit torrent client to download.

Not sure about films.

Why does it feel the need to write this in the About section:

None of the shows that are available from UKNova are stored on our servers. The UKNova website does not itself ‘share’ any copyrighted material with anyone else. It simply allows people who wish to share programming to link up with one another, using the BitTorrent protocol.
