Bangkok....

Speaking to a bloke who pops into my work. He is off to bangkok and says its cheap as chips. Hotel suites are also cheap. Has anyone been? Where is the nest part to stay? Anything i should know? Interested in going next year tho aint it a scary place??

    It is very cheap. However at the same time you can spend all the money in the world there and everything in between. Great place to visit though. I suggest you do a few searches on this board, as questions about Thailand / Bangkok have been asked many many times.

    bangkok is a cheap or as expensive as you want it to be gone are the days whenvery basic rooms only cost 50p now they might be £3 basic ones food you can find at stalls or foodhalls can be about 30baht around 50p. so if u work it out u can live very cheaply. then the add ons you got public buses at 20p or taxis around £1. then entertainment

    i've stayed at the Krit Thai on several occasions. I think it cost me abut £13 a night last December and that's for a double room. Right by the National Stadium Skytrain station - and just around the corner from Jim Thomsons house.
