PC & Ipod Speakers

Hello, Merry Christmas to everyone, hope everyone had a lovely day. Ive been given some money for christmas and would like to get some new pc/ipod speakers. I currently have some phillips 5.1 surround sound (70watts) which i use but they have seen better days so would like to treat myself to some new ones.
I listen to a lot of drum and bass so having a nice deep loud bass is very important to me. Im also not worried about whether its 2.1 or 5.1 really, 2.1 would possibly be easier though for transport and stuff.
I was just wondering if anyone who knew very much about speakers could point me in the right direction as im a bit clueless! Would like them to go quite loud too as they will be used for parties etc and looking to spend about £100 ish.
Anyone had any experience with good speakers? Many Thanks :j
