New Slide Scanner - No Idea What to Do

If you are uninstalling using the Windows facility it might be worth using Revo Uninstaller (Google it or let us know if you need a link). I've found this to solve a problem recently when a "normal" uninstall/install didn't fix an issue.

I have this model that works perfectly well and I too am on Vista. The only thing is, I'm away from home and can't remember too much about how I installed it, but whatever I did, it worked first time. If I were at home, I/we could go through the various stages together (via mobile?).

I'm sure I downloaded the software (arckright or something like that) and then with cables installed via USB, I simply placed a few negatives in the slide/neg holder and pushed it in the slot then they appeared on screen. If they were wonky I moved them to an acceptable level, pressed a button and that was it.

Whilst they went to the arkright photo editing suite, they also appeared on picasa3, (my favoured) where I manipulated them again, is straighten/coild balance etc).
