Student renting

I'm n my 1st year and I have to make decisions in the next month about where I am going to live. Well possibly.
I hate my flatmates in my halls so I won't be living with them again. My options are...
Live in these halls again but with 21+ instead of 18-21...the rents going up to about £90pw
Live in rented accomodation with my 3 friends, we'd prob get a place for less than £70pw but obv got bills on top.
Live by myself (in all honesty I am seriously considering this because I am Bipolar and I get really irritated sometimes by peoples mess etc) I could prob rent for less than 300pm but bills on top.
Rent a room and just keep to myself. I don't know if I want to rent a room because if I do go out, its not on to turn up at 4am off my rockers etc.

Your 3 friends - are they students as well?
If you live with a non student they may ask you to contribute towards council tax even though you are not liable.0 -
Yeah my 3 friends are students. Its not that I wouldn't lodge, I just do sometimes go out and when I do, I don't reappear till the early hours of the morning...Money money money.

you had best check for what length of time you have signed your current tenancy agreement - it may not be as simple as you think re moving out ....0

Oh I don't plan to move out now. My tenancy is till end of June. Its that house hunting for 2010/2011 starts Jan 16th. So if I want to move in with friends, thats when I'd have to look. So I'd have to make a decision on whether I want to be with them or not.Money money money.

I'm confused!
One of the reasons I am considering living by myself is because of the Bipolar that rules my life. I don't want to be an !!!! to live with and I go through periods where I am :SMoney money money.

Frankly I don't know how you expect anyone here to be able to answer your question. We can help you with the technicalities of renting but we don't know anything about you or your personality.
Have you actually been medically diagnosed as bipolar? (plenty of people I've met claim to be this way but few are really bipolar, not that I have any reason to doubt you). If so, perhaps your psychologist/psychiatrist can give you some advice.
As for my very lay opinion, I'm not sure it's a great idea for someone who is depressive to sit by themselves in the evening. You are young, social life is a big part of university, and you will have plenty of time to live by yourself in the future.0
