Do a search using silicon as a keyword. There are loads of previous threads giving advice on how best to remove this stuff or to clean the black mould.0 -
I believe you can buy a solution to remove silcon. I think B&Q stock it.
Altenatively, have you tried WD40? :cool:I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.

I don't thik WD40 will have any effect, but I could be wrong.
The other threads suggest using acetone to remove it, they used to make nail varnish remover from acetone but they now do it differently, so you might try acetone.
Alternatively clean the silicon with bleach or the chemical reccomended as per the other thread.0 -
I bought some stuff from B&Q, you can find it with the silicone, remove as much of it as you can by hand, then use this stuff, it sends it all mushy and it can be removed easier.0

But, as suggested, also try a thread search on the DIY forum as this / mould crops up regularlyIf you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
