My best presents were my loppers to prune my trees and and orange and lemon zester. Oh i nearly forgot my best best present was a muffin cake stand that holds 13 individual muffins...it's beautiful and a real surprise from my DH
  • Three new recipe books were under my tree: I'd asked for the Delia book and think I'll try lots of things from there and the Curry book seems fab too. I'm less impressed with James Martin as I'm not a big fan of him on tv but there are one or two things that have caught my eye so I shall give him a go. His book seems a bit fancy overall.

I also received a bucket with 'Born to Garden, Forced to Work' which sums me up nicely. The giver had then filled it with lots of gardening odds and ends; a seed tin, some new (pink) hand tools and a pink swiss army type knife. Very useful and fun too.

Oh, and pink wellies, I LOVE my pink wellies :T
  • I got the new Delia Christmas book, a book on tapas (we love them) and one on French feasts. I bought dh the RC Everyday book as he's a big Hugh fan so we're covered on the book front - although I like rthe sound of the Darina Allen one.

I also got a ball of organic string, kitchen scissors etc in my stocking - but no rubber bands this year as I'm still using the ones from last year.

My Mum also got me a jute reusable bag from Booths with pigs on - I already have the one with goats - and we don't have Booths over here.

I got a few OS prezzies:

A gravy separator jug from DH (had been meaning to get one for ages as love making proper gravy!)
The 'LEON' cookbook - I adore the LEON restaurants!
Good Food's 101 cheap eats cookbook
    Nigella's Christmas cookbook
    HM Christmas chutney from SiL

Not sure if they're OS but I also got some new walking clothes and walking socks (i think walking is an OS passtime!)

Most of the above I'd asked for, except the gravy jug, DH knows me too well!

    I gave some OS goodies:
    chilli jam
    fudge
    rocky road

and they went down so well I am going to save jars from now on and make lots more hm prezzies next year!

I got the economy gastronomy book and the humming bird bakery one, a rolling pin and flour dredger and my favourite.....a special planter for my garden. It has a big planter as the base then a pole going up to a triple hanging basket bracket and three baskets to hang on it. I love growing tumbling tomatoes so the 3 baskets will be filled with those then I'm going to pop a couple of climbing bean plants in the bottom planter to climb up the pole and some other stuff too, maybe some strawbery plants or some herbs so they look pretty!!

I also got an absolutely gorgeous framed pic of my godson, I love it!
