Can anyone help? Bought an iphone for a Christmas pressie but its saying No Service and has got the locked symbol in the middle of the top of the screen. Does that just mean there's no service in the area or that the phone needs to be unlocked?

Is also saying emergency calls only - any help appreciated. There's going to be one unhappy son if we can't get this done for 2ish :(

    We hadn't registered it with Itunes!!! Going through the motions now after reading about this somewhere else. Hopefully will get it sorted now - thanks for your help tho :beer:
