Christmas Wii Nightmare Please Help!!

I've bought my daughter 4 new games for her Nintendo Wii - Mario Kart, Disney Sing It, Wii Sports Resort and Wii Music. Mario Kart - brilliant worked straight away. The other 3 won't load i.e. when you put the disk in it doesn't open up in the top left hand box to click on and open the game. Can anyone please help - I can't believe I've been so unlucky as to get 3 "duff" games?!

Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas

Thanks for the quick reply...I've just tried that and no difference. Any other suggestions?

    Thanks again

I know it might be a silly question, have you put them in the correct way. I know someone who did this once. They put them in upside down!

  • The other thing might be. Did you buy them from a UK shop or did you buy them from the internet or in USA. If they were purchased in the USA they may not play as they will not be pal?

  • Hi

It's not a silly question for someone like me! But sadly yes they have been put in the right way. I've had a look on nintendo website and it just says if some games aren't working to contact their support team as may be console fault. But it just seems strange all other games work, just these 3 that don't. And won't be in warranty either so looks like a trip to the shops tomorrow!!

Thanks for suggestions, any more greatly appreciated too!

Try Mario again, does it still work?
Your right, its impossible to get 3 faulty discs in a row. Youve more chance of winning the lottery one week after the other (Unless theyre fakes?)

  • adrian2000 - thanks again, bought them from Asda and all state PAL
jamespir - thanks, checked all and no covering
aliEnRIK - thanks, as above all genuine games bought from Asda no fakes and tried Mario just now and it still works

Is your Wii software up to date? Nintendo update the software over the interweb from time to time? Although the games disks should have the relevant files if needed.
Hopefully your Wii has not been chipped.
That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • It might be the console itself. Maybe the lens needs cleaning?! Hope you get it sorted. A duff wii game does'nt make you the worlds worst mum, silly. Just the UKs...heh, joking!
