benefit paid early even though its not due til 29th Dec??

Hi ive just checked my internet banking now and it appears my Income Support has gone in, even though its not due til Tues 29th Dec, I thought id be paid then, because its not a bank holiday?

And my DLA is due on 30th Dec, will this now be paid early too?

I did check the forums but it says if your benefit falls on a normal working day over xmas/new year you will be paid as normal?

Merry Xmas to all the MSE'rs

My DLA which was due on the 29th was in on the 23rd.
Also my IB and IS due on the 30th where also in on the 23rd.
  • Some banks may show the amount being available now because the last banking day for payments due 29th was yesterday (24th). The payments were released early to make sure they are in on time for 29th.
  • My dla was paid in my yorkshire building society cash transactor passbook account on the 25th dec - christmas day, it says this online. It is due on tues 29th dec.

I don't get benefits, Working full time and I still can't afford to "hit the sales".

Did you need to ask a benefits related question?

If you need help with budgeting perhaps you could start a thread on the Debtfree Wanabee board?

I have asked a benefit related question. Am I not allowed to be jealous?

This board is not for being judgmental. If you wish to discuss benefits policy, the correct board is Discussion Time.

  • most benefits are 'advanced' around Xmas time due to bank holidays, so if it was due to clear on a holiday day then you get it early, but normal time after holiday has gone, or else someone people may be left in poverty over xmas/new year
