I have bought a laptop from a retail laptop company yesterday, they have obviously made a mistake on the price.
I ordered a brand new laptop for £XX.
Then I have received the emails..
First Email: Thanks for order and will proceed to verify the order...
Second Email: Order accepted, will be delivered on XX/01/2010
Third Email: saying my order has been cancelled because products is no longer available for sale. payment will be credited back to bank account.
Do they have right to cancel my order? I don't know if they have taken my money, I need to check at my bank but they have admitted my order has accepted in the second email. In the third email, they will refund my money back to my account but without my permission.

yes they do have a right they dont have to sell an item if the price is wrong (that usually in there t &c's ) and youve given them the right to refund your money when you gave them your credit debit cardReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0

How about they sent you a worse spec one and refused to refund you....Be happy then?

They could, of course, have genuinely sold out? If it was such a good advertised price then that might be true.
No, you have no recourse, sorry.0
