Can someone recommend an MP3 tagging program which will enable me en mass to rename files, change album, artist and track list data.
Ive used iTunes in the past, and would rather not install the bloatware program again.
Im sure there must be something out there that is a tiny program to do just that.

I use MP3Tag - http://www.mp3tag.de/en/download.html
You can add it to the right click menu for quick selection of album folders or songs. Uses Amazon.com and .de for getting selections, lets you choose if it's an import, special edition or just the regular album. it's free so nothing to lose.
I've used it for about 3 years now.Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.0 -
I use Foobar2000 as my audio player, but I also use it for editing tags and converting files to different formats. It's free, small and highly configurable, but is extremly plain looking in its default configuration. Probably the best thing about it is that the sound quality far exceeds the likes of iTunes.0

MP3Tag is the best stand-alone tagger I have found.
MediaMonkey is a media player that also has good tagging facilities.0 -
I have been using ID3 it is a DOS command line program that lends itself to clever batch jobs. I use it simply to label recorded items with a Podcast tag so my phone remembers how far I got in listening.0
