u know how you can defrost meat in the microwave, well cant i defrost it in the oven on the lowest setting????? im guessing no but heres hoping! lol0

no because you are then heating the meat very slowly creating a nice breeding zone for bacteria
then to combat this you would need to cook the shizzle out of the bird to cook it through making it crap
if i were really desperate with a semi frozen bird then it would cut the breasts off the bone and remove/halve the legs
be aware though the risks of knives/frozen meat/trips to casualty

have you a saw ? if so make sure its clean and saw the turkey into easy manageble chunks and microwave the smaller manageble chunks
or do the pork which is wat im having as i got a really nice stuffed pork joint from tesco for £2.90 yesterday

if you have a newer oven there will be a defrost setting. look at your oven manual to see if there is one
don't use a low heat setting. you really shouldn't be warming the meat up trying to defrost it!

hi, my turkey was fine! thankyou , i put it in the sink for a couple of hours under running cold water, then put it in a warm oven for an hour, it was fine, very nice lol, my dad was a bit dubious about eating it, but soon overcame his fear and took some home! none of us are ill so hooray =D0
