hi i need to help someone with removing Mcafee (manufacturer installed) on a laptop with Win 7 so they can install MSE.
is there a specific link as the ones i seen only mention vista.

Have read of this on the McAfee forum - the reply sounds pretty well informed.
And that was me that asked the question...
I'm 99% sure it worked but can't remember as just after that i parceled it up to send to Santa to bring for my daughter... I'll be able to check sometime tomorrow after he's delivered it..........What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0 -

It was on this laptop which is running Vista and I got rid of McAfee by using the UNINSTALL system. It's in CONTROL PANEL, then under PROGRAMS
it says "Uninstall a programme"
.....simples, or is it me? Were you after something else?

apparently for virus scanners its best to use the removal tool.....but thats advice i been given from the techies on this forum.0 -
Yes it seems to have worked for me (vista removal on W7) & have Avira installed on daughters laptop......What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about !!!0
