Where are the good deals

Hi there,I've noticed people on the forum talking about 6.5 up to 8% on savings accounts I'm looking to put a thousand a month away for a year does anybody know a good deal:j

    Those are either old saving accounts (no longer available) or premier current accounts which require you to deposit anything from £500 upwards into the current every month in order to get high interest for balances which usually have upper limit (first £2.5k for example).

    All too much muddle for me - but the two main culprits (or one really now) are alliance and leicester / abbey premier current account.

    HSBC also have something similar - even more convoluted.

    Up the interest rates!
