In my experience, this happens with Play.com anyway, dunno why. When I first joined up last year to place an order, had to ring up as I got an email saying they had to verify my card(?!). Call to them was quick - I got the impression this is something CS deal with regularly. But no probs since, orders processed quickly and delivery quite quick too.

Because if we all got the same and there is no probs with cards, I know there isn't in my case, then Play.com are being very naughty. It looks like the offer has finished now as I can't see the free coin anywhere. BOOHOO

Play.com's system for verifying the address is terrible. It seems to pass on the details to their bank to check in a manner that seems to result in numerous false negatives.

If you phone them up they usually just need the CV2 number (the last 3 digits off the signature strip). In fact, i've emailed them the code in the past to sort the problem.

Definately does not work now as even once you go through checkout and add the code it does not take the price down to zero.

Probably ended it as I bet they got hammered

I just tried it now and it worked :T ..... go to the Gadgets link, then on the left hand side box .. do a search of "pirates of the carribean coins".. then press continue... this will bring you to the page for the coins... click to Buy.. then continue to checkout.... all the way to delivery.... only then you will see a Voucher code box on the bottom right hand side... type in PIRATES .. and voila it works...!!! phew!!

It only allows discount on one coin..... as i tried it again but kept saying sorry voucher has expired.... oh well at least i got one!! now the question is which child gets it..;)

    hope this helps..

Even if they take your order they still have a get out clause by saying that orders are only accepted once items have been shipped and once an email/order has been shipped then it is confirmed but up until then they can cancel orders.

I have had it on a previous occassion where they cancelled an order for a DVD as they advertised it too cheaply and I never got my order accepted

Cannot find the page on their site relating to these details

Wonder if they are clamping down on this offer as they are probably gettign hammered

I've had the e-mail to say mine is on it's way.
