Hi,

can any 1 tell me if i can restore files from my external hard drive, it crashed and now it says i have to format it. I HAVANT FORMATTED IT YET. is they any way i can recover my files from external hard drive?

    download recvua it's free and pretty good at recovering files. The key thing is not to do anything to your external drive until your ready to try and recover them.

    There are other utilities but that's the only one I've used.

    The other possibility is that it's just the FAT that is corrupt and you may be able to repair that. I'm not sure what utilities are available as it's years since I've had to do anything like that.

    Here's another utility that may help.
    Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!
