blackberry -unlocking

Not unlocking to network, unlocking screen.

Usually I have to put a 4 digit number in to unlock.

Today it's asking me to type 'blackberry' first. Once I have done that it is asking for the PIN but won't let me input numbers, it's coming up with letters - what am I doing wrong?

Have a read of this thread. It sounds like you are being asked for the password and not the PIN, and are in danger of locking yourself out with too many incorrect tries,

My PIN looks like a series of numbers but it's actually a series of letters. When I tried to use Blackberry Manager the numbers I use every day (i.e. 6789) turned out to be te letters (i.e.FZXC) almost locked myself out of it in bewilderment!

sorted - it let me put letters in

It will let you puy blackberry in for the ' blackberry' even if on. Just look in the top right corner and you will see an arrow if on. Just press the alt key i think it is, i am a iphone user now so cannot remember which button
