Sticky shift key

My right hand shift key is sticking and when I use it for a capital sometimes the second letter in the word is a capital too!
I can't get out just now to get a new keyboard, so I'm going to have a go at cleaning - but if it doesn't work I was thinking of using keymapper to redesignate another key on the right. Has anyone used this programme? Cheers.

If it is a desktop keyboard, you can just prise the key off and then clean thoroughly underneath.

When this happens to me (its usually a crumb) I just pull the key up a bit with my finger nail and wobble the keyboard about a bit so it gets dislodged

Insert the wider end of a nail file under the front of the key, push down and rotate. Gently. At your own risk.
