Virgin Credit Card

About 2 weeks ago i applied for a virgin credit card on-line. They said they had to do more checks and if i was successful i would get my card within 7-10 days. I have not heard anything since. I was planning to do a balance transfer but its taking so long i have made other arrangements, so really I just want to know if this is normal for them to take this long. Want to know also just in case there is a stray credit card in the post for me that i don't know about (but im guessing i was declined). Haven't got any sort of reference number so haven't rung them to check.

    Spooky. Just looked at my phone and received a text message from virgin saying i have been accepted and will receive my card within 10 days, which has surprised me. Anyway, although they have stated what my credit limit will be (surprised at that as well), they haven't told me what my interest rate is (unless everyone gets the typical rate?). Will they tell me when i receive the card? Also, i'm assuming there isn't anything stopping me from using my current credit card to clear my littlewoods credit account (i can pay with a credit card) then balance transfer this as soon as i receive the virgin card, is this correct?

    I had the same message when I applied for mine.

    However they called me the next day to say I was accepted and that I would have my card and PIN in 5 - 7 days.

    Had an Email the next day confirming as well.

    Give them a call if I was you.

    Ok i know i have been accepted for the card and have so far received the pin number, however, i haven't received the card, and have 3 conflicting bits of information about when i should receive the card. The text message i got saying i would get the card and pin within 7-10 days was now 10 days ago now, the letter telling me the pin says my card will arrive within the next 10 days and on their FAQ's on the virgin website it says that the pin arrives a few days after the card. So in other peoples experiences, how long has it taken before they actually get the card?

    Also, i now want to do a balance transfer and want to get it done as soon as possible. If i called them up would they be able to do a balance transfer despite not knowing my new virgin credit card number?

    PIN came first and the card 5 days later. Not sure about the BT as they ask for your card number as soon as you call them and it needs to be activated.

    Still no card (sorry a rant). Considering i applied for it 3 weeks ago now its starting to get irritating. I dont even need the actual card just the details so i can register for their on-line servicing so i can do the balance transfers. Grrrrr.
