DVD Re-Writer?

I just got a new Dell PC (thanks to the forums) and would like a DVD Re-Writer. I would like an external one and found a Samsung TS-E552U at

Does (anybody who knows of these things) anybody know of any reasons I shouldn't go for this one? I like the fact it can do dual-layer but it only mentions +R D/L, is that the only dual-layer format available?
BTW it's only about £70 which I think is good for an external one.

+R is the only format with Dual Layer so far I think yes(though disks are still fairly expensive so I'mnot bothering buyng any for time being). I 'built' my own external drive the other week with an enclosure and an LG drive for about £75 in total but that was because I wanted DVD-RAM writing aswell so price was pushed up a bit, £70 sounds fine for an external one though0

Is there space in the Dell for an internal drive and is that something you would consider?
Even if you paid someone 20 quid to fit it you would still be in profit!0 -
I really like the idea of an external one, no warrenty issues, portability etc. Do external ones running via USB2 have any issues over internal ones?0
