which program is causing pop ups

in Techie Stuff
i keep getting pop ups even though my blocker is set to maximum, i know (or think i know
) that it is probably a program which is causing it but how do i find out,? ITS DOING MY HEAD IN:mad: :mad: :mad:

Try using one of the Anti-Spyware programs in this thread:

thanks nick mack ihave a print out of browntoa's advice and have recently done a clean up which came up clean (in safe mode) but they still keep popping up0

ccleaner, ewido ,spybot, ad aware and windows defender in that order more or less0

Can you send me a private message of any sites where the pop-ups occur by sending a PM you wont send anyone to an infected site by posting here

I had this and it was a windows messenger type popup. I used a little program called 'Shoot the Messenger' to sort it.........

I would suggest a hijack this log so we can see if there is a hidden problem

download button is on the left, flashing green button, follow the instructions and save the log file as instructed
Open the Log in Notepad. Highlight the entire contents. Copy and paste the contents of the HijackThis log into your post. Wait for help from me, Pchelpman or Alfonso.
there is nothing that appears in these logs that is a security risk by posting on hereEx forum ambassador
