I think you need to rephrase your question because as it stands it makes no sense. You don't need to have any program associated with a file type in order to copy/move it which appears to be what you are saying you want to do.0

What Operating System?
What do you mean by "get my wedding video and pictures off"?
What exactly are you trying to do? Are you trying to play a video? Are you trying to copy or move a file? It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Basically the error means that windows doesn't know which programme to use to open the links you are clicking on.
What programme are you trying to use?0 -

An IFO file is part of a collection of files on a DVD. There should be other files with the extension .VOB, they are the actual containers for video and audio. If you have something like PowerDVD you can 'Open DVD files on hard disk'. It'll open a file dialogue box using which you should navigate to the folder containing the files.
You could also download VideoLan. Install it and choose 'Open Folder' from the 'File' menu. Then navigate the dialogue box to the folder.
I have version 5 of PowerDVD installed and it won't open .IFO files, but VideoLan will. If you're trying to copy the files you need to transfer the full set of .VOB, .IFO and .BUP files. ( The .BUP files are actually just copies of the .IFO files )0
