I dont have a gas boiler only an electric emersion heater. I would like to get cover for it. It cost me £150 to have the thermostat replaced thsi year and a new one will be £600.
Do you know of any cover? Most only cover gas boilers
Thanks

Yes, I believe that Homeserve have policies available to cover emersion heaters and plumbing etc. But they don't appear to have the best reputation, so you should have a read through any online feedback and decide for yourself.
Your electricity supply company may also have policies available.
Emersion heaters are a very expensive way of heating water. If you use it all the time, the heating element can be prone to fail due to limescale build up. It is a bit like a giant kettle.
Have you looked into any grants that may be available to purchase a heating system upgrade.
http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
