SAvings account regular withdrawals

Can anyone recommend a savings account which allows regular withdrawals but with a good rate of interest?

I am about to buy a car I have the money (about £14000) but the dealer has offered me an interest free loan over 2 years.

I would need to take approximately £500 per month out of the account to service the loan (moving it into a current account)

Thanks

3.15% at The AA might be an option for you.

Review it after 12 months though as the rate includes a bonus that drops off.

Birmingham Midshires offer a similar rate for a telepohne account.

You could split the money between a 1 year fix and one of the accounts above. Moneyfacts shows 3.75% as a market leading rate.

Lloyds Vantage current account pays 4% on balances between £5k and £7k as long as £1,000 a month is credited. Might be a way to play it too.

Stating the obvious, but the loan isn't actually interest free.

If you've got cash , get a discount.

This is right. I learned a while ago that dealers are not impressed with cash which is the way we would buy a new car. They get commission on the loan amount.
  • I already got £2500 off the list price of the new car - through drivethedeal. £24000 down to £21500.
