Well that last hour and a half was very harrowing for me and OH, we got a phone call from MIL neighbours to tell us that they could hear knocking through the wall and on investigation discovered that MIL had fallen upstairs.
They had to break in to get to her while we were rushing over (I have only had one glass of wine thankfully) we had no idea what we were going to find when we got there.
Thankfully she had no injuries at all but had held on to a chest of drawers on casters on getting out of bed and they had moved causing her to fall over, she didnt have the strength in her arms to get back on her feet.
Very thankfull that she is OK.
It could have been a very unmerry christmas.
Off to have that 2nd glass of wine and try to wrap up a guitar and a TV.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight.......:xmastree:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
I read Watership Down a few months ago, the film was very true to the book. I really enjoyed it.
Mmm just realised I hadn't had dinner so I had a smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich, yum.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Lou, that sounds awful, you must have been so worried. I'm glad she's ok.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

Oh no Lou, what a shock for her and for you.
Thank goodness the neighbours heard her.OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

It's great that she's got neighbours who had the presence of mind to phone you!

Has everyone's children gone to bed ok? It must be hard getting to sleep with all the excitement in them!
One year when my daughter was about 8, I was just creeping across her bedroom floor with her presents in bags, when her alarm went off! She had only set it to 12 o'clock to try to catch a sight of Father Christmas!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

Ours are in bed but it'll be a while before they're asleep
The first year we lived in this house hubby always took Elli to see the Christmas film of the year while I did all the wrapping, hubby put him in the car and came back in to collect something, meanwhile I had all Elliot's toys piled up on the sofa ready to wrap.
Elli followed him in to find out what he was doing
Luckily he came in and immediately looked to the right towards the kitchen for his Daddy, if he'd just glanced left he'd have seen all his Christmas presents.
How he didn't notice them I've no idea but hubby belted back into the room, scooped him off his feet and swept him out of the door!

My parents always told me 'the sooner you go to bed the sooner it'll be morning'. So one year I tried to go to bed at 4pm. And several years it backfired when I went to bed early and woke at about 2-3am and nearly walked in on them wrapping my presents.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
