Oil Usage
Hello
I moved into a new house in March this year and it has oil-fired central heating. I know oil is more expensive than other forms of fuel, but we seem to be getting through an awful lot, especially in this recent cold snap (obviously!). Since I have nothing to compare it to, I'm wondering what other people on oil get through on average across the year, so I can have an idea if my usage so far is excessive or not. It is a reasonably large property so I know it will probably be quite high just because of that. I know here are definitely no leaks as we had to have a brand new tank and line installed.
Thanks in advance!

hello TamTam i'm in Norfolk in a 3 bed semi detached cottage, and i use 1000 litres a year, think i paid about £350 back in october, i also have a woodburner in the living room so this helps too.
I generally find my system quite economical, the heating gets switched on late october and will go off in april, the rest of the year i heat our water with the immersion heater...0
