heating on 24/7 or just when I'm in?

My mum thinks it would be cheaper to have my heating on low all the time than to heat the house up from cold a few hours a day. WHat would your thoughts be on this?

I am afraid(hopefully just this once) your Mum is wrong - but hey she loves you!!


Ask her if she leaves the kettle boiling all day cos it is cheaper than to heat up from cold - exactly the same principle!!!
