Folks

I have one of the above and it has worked fine since purchased +4 months ago. Tonight plugged it in for recharge and to re-sync.

Windows (vista sp2) then proceeds to look for the driver ? (was there when I last synced etc).
Finds the driver, starts to install & upload the driver and then fails. The message is
"Windows found driver software but encountered an error while attempting to install it. Access denied"

I've been on the Philips site & downloaded updates and apparently the driver has been repaired. I've even chatted to somebody called Frank and he suggested a reset (now I have nothing, excepted a charged up player). Live help is now closed.

I've restarted the PC (laptop) and this hasn't helped. I'm thinking maybe a system restore to when I last synced might help.

Anybody else got other better suggestions?

yours
