new speedo
hi my son has just brought a car the dealer has changed the speedo as the other unit was faulty, it had a milage of 92000 on it the unit he has replaced it with is a used unit, with 38,000 on it though the actual reading only shows at night with dash lights on any ideas whats wrong with it?, the car has had a mot done the day before with the old 92000 display on it but theres written record that this other speedo has been put in, and the difference in milage. what should he do any ideas

Digital speedo's can be altered with the use of a computer.
I would suggest that the garage have a look at the speedo issue, and maybe have it adjusted to read the correct mileage.
Of course, they dont have to do it, but instead issue with some paperwork to say its been replaced.0 -
