Crashed into the back of someone today. Can anybody estimate accurately how much can I expect to pay extra on my renewal quote next year?
Damage was only to car, no injury
Had 2 years no claims up until now.
My car doesn't need any repairs so won't need to pay excess
Will just have to pay repairs of other person's car (not sure how much yet)
Have only been driving two years but this will be my first claim
Thanks in advance

2 years NCD is worth around 35-50% discount to insurers then have to add in the increase in risk for the "fault claim" which could be anything again all depends on the insurer.
The easiest way round is to do a quote today online based on this claim being your fault and zero NCD then at least you know what sort of price you expect but remember if you do that now and your renewal is not due until 6 months time it could still change as rates change monthly normally so it could go up a bit more.
Hope that helps!I like to think I can help but its for discussion purposes only so if I get it wrong please feel free to correct me.0 -
Thanks for advice, I will give that a try. My renewal will not be until October 2010 so will have to see what they price is like then.
