I used to work as a picker for tesco.com but I would think most online shopping works in a similar way.
No Turkey is totally unaceptable when you placed your order 3 weeks ago. Stores get their fresh turkeys in from 19/20th Dec, and at tesco all online ones were stored in stockroom chillers with customers names on so werent picked from on the shelf stock.
Having worked on the inside I would never shop online for groceries unless it was my only option.....
Surely any manager with a complaint should be understanding and helpful not rude.
Hope you got your shopping sorted and I would write a strong letter of complaint after xmas.0
