I have just uninstalled macafee and got zone alarm free, after restarting to complete set up I got a message Zone alarm new network found 192.168.1.0 do you want to add to trusted zone or another choice cant rem exactly what now but I was unsure so clicked cancel it then said are you sure you want to cancel network set up wizard I put cancel.

It is now showing a window in bottom right screen saying zone alarm security alert new subnet and an ip address it says its been added to the internet zone but asks if I want it in the internet zone or trusted zone, which should I choose and would it be my wireless network or someone elses? just dont want to let any other network in, it never seemed so difficult before..

It also says do I want to name it, bit confused with this
Thanx

The thing I wouldn't trust is Zone Alarm. Unless you know what you are doing software firewalls cause more problems than they solve.

Completely agree with that. if you really dont know what your doing a software firewall is completely useless. Youll be blocking things you shouldnt and letting things through (Maybe) you shouldnt

On top of that, zonealarm isnt too hot these days ~

You have a router, you don't really need a firewall - (the windows one will cause you a lot less trouble than ZA, comodo and all the rest with outbound protection), just a decent antivirus

I was always worried that windows firewall wouldnt be enough.
