projector tv

how do i connect a projector to a tv or video so that i can watch tv through it. my mams bringin one home from work and we are gonna set it up in the gazibo in the back garden for the next england match if the weather is good just wondered how to do it.

    Totally depends on the projector, the most common way ( because you will need something with a tv tuner in ) is to use either a video or freeview box and connect with the scart to video cable or staight video to video cable if your freeview/ video has it. remember you wont have any sound, so off the freeview/video you will need to run audio cables to a speaker system of some kind.

    Not many TVs have a video out capability (unless they have freeview)

    S.video is your best option if the projector has the relevant socket and the output from your TV and/ or VCR support this format (remember it is a video format and not just a cable shape) and then hook it up - if not the composite is the normal fall back.

    Depending on the projector, you may find it a big disappointment.

    If it's sunny, you will need to somehow keep out alot of light, hence why projectors are usually used in dark rooms!

    the light shouldnt be a problem its in a gazebo with sides on it and it does get pretty dark

    i think the projectors are all prety new and i think they are sony so hope fully they will be some way of rigging it up.
