  • Hi Pretty new to all this but my wife has just had her first R&R and she only started today. Scooby Doo Mystery machine was on two shelves one priced at 19.47 the other at 19.97. Got charged 19.97. Bloke in front of wife at CS's was getting a refund on clemantines and got a full refund but CS wanted to pay my wife the difference of Mystery MAchine (50p.!). She quite rightly pointed out Tesco's policy thanks to this wonderful site and got full refund and Christmas present for our boy who is Scooby Doo mad. There is a downside as CS had a right go at poor member of staff who's shelves they were so wife felt a bit guilty, so got her goods and left...
It's not the winning it's the taking apart
  • Just got £31.48 refunded on 4 packs of sirloin steak, SEL £10.87 per kg (most were at this price) tho I managed to find packs with £12.87 per kg. It's the twin packs.
Saw a friend of mine in the car park, she knew nothing about R&R so I told her what to do, hope she's brave enough!
It's my son's birthday today so Yay free steak for supper!!!
  • Just got two PSP games
    - PuyoPop Fever charged £19.94 but seal £13.97
    - Mercury Charged £19.94 but seal £13.97

The F word book scanned correctly.

Got told off by CS for going around twice.. she even checked to see if I had put my own labels on.. thinking about it I should have ripped into her for accusing me. She said if i go back around again then I wont get a refund!

Found a new one by chance though. The Lloyd Grossman sauces (350g) are on 'Buy 2 for £2.20' a £1.10 saving. They had a few different types out on the end of an aisle, so I picked up 2 Basil and Tomato and 2 White sauce for Lasagne (came up on receipt as Bechamel Sauce). The offer only came off for the Tomato sauce, so I got a refund of £3.30 - with the mince I've got a super cheap lasagne for tea! :rotfl:

I checked these out today, but frustrated because the White Sauce one was the only one I could see WITHOUT the yellow special offer label ! It just had the normal white sel, so assume for some reason these are excluded from the offer.
I didn't bother trying any other as I was already hoping for a book R&R ;)
  • Only of interest to Bob Marley fans or if you like at least 2 of his tracks.

Search for Bob Marley and then look for the following album. 'Songs of Freedom (International Version)'. The collection of 78 tracks are individually 79p each but to download the whole album is a mere £1.:j

£1 for 5hrs of music even if you don't like them all can't be bad!

  • Hi, this is my first post so hope I don't go wrong - just like to say, I have only just discovered MSE in the last week, then found this thread - could not believe it would work. Went to the above store and had a look around, but felt like I was looking for a needle in a haystack - esp as it is being refurbed. BUT - suddenly remembered post about lamb chops, 5-7 pack - had a look and there it was, SEL 9.48 per kilo , label on pack 10.98 per kilo. Bought a few other things as well, went thru till and went to Customer services - bingo, SA had a look on the shelf and gave me full R&R!!! £11.48- not a bad start. Only thing was, the guy asked a colleague and confirmed they have a 'policy' at the store of getting name and address for any refund over £10.00. I must admit I edited my address a bit, I thought it was a bit fishy - wish I had just refused, but did not want to lose my first refund. Thanks again for all the great tips.

    Just had some books:

    2 x Dr Who
    Love Lessons
    Clean Break
    Kylie the Carnival Fairy

All stickered at £3.73, five scanned at £4.97 and one scanned at £3.97.

Also had Tryptych stickered £8.97 charged £9.97 and The Incredibles for the DS stickered £14.97 charged £19.97.

The CS said that stores are having alot of trouble with game misprices so sounds as though HO are getting wise to this misprice.
