At Old Kent Road there were packs of 2 tuna steaks, big yellow SEL "Save 50p/kg, now only £11.35/kg" but packs were still priced at £11.85. Didn't try this as I don't tend to cook much fish. There were also finest Scottish silverside joints, priced at £7.29/kg but the SEL said £6.48/kg; however the SEL wasn't clear whether this was the finest or the regular joints so I didn't try either. Often they don't bother with SEL's for the meat, and that makes it really hard to work out if R&R applies, because it's just so vague! The CS queue in this store is usually a mile long, so I only bother if I'm 75% sure I'll get an R&R.
    2015 comp wins - £370.25
Recent wins: gym class, baby stuff
Thanks to everyone who posts freebies and comps! :j
  • Willow Farm Chicken Breast Fillets Skin On. Regular white SEL says £7.19/kg pack priced at £8.99. Lady went off to check and looked at wrong product and said no R&R. Took her back and showed her the correct one.
Scottish Mince 800g pack, another white SEL saying £2.19, pack price £2.82. Again lady took it but came back and said "We weighed it and there's more than 800g in the pack" :o
R&R no probs though - she just wanted to be sure. To be fair to her I have been up since 3.30am so probably looked a bit rough :D

Aero chunkys - grabbed a couple and discount didn't go through. CS wouldn't do R&R as she said it was a different product - the packs were a different size and said "New Shape" on them. But after checking my receipt which said Chunkys and the barcode (matched), full R&R with apologies.

So keep an eye out - they may have new packaging - I've never bought them before so don't know.
  • Got three packets of the Scottish Mince 800g pack today. Different prices to those others have found, but still substantial overcharge. Also got the Aero chunkys.

Found a new one by chance though. The Lloyd Grossman sauces (350g) are on 'Buy 2 for £2.20' a £1.10 saving. They had a few different types out on the end of an aisle, so I picked up 2 Basil and Tomato and 2 White sauce for Lasagne (came up on receipt as Bechamel Sauce). The offer only came off for the Tomato sauce, so I got a refund of £3.30 - with the mince I've got a super cheap lasagne for tea! :rotfl:
