  • called tonight bought gigapack psp £219.97 and cars game for £29.97 (alth SEL said £32 odd irrelevant).

sorry long post but may save people searching for xbox offers, and claryfy psp offer.

NO £10 off at till.....paid £249.94 should have been £239.94. told to collect from customer services.

Couldnt find gigapack in safe so I asked could I have base unit instead.
He agreed and refunded £70 (the difference)
Left shop - returned and said "think I been overcharged" if I purchased both together then £10 off.

Claimed offer only for normal and he would need to rescan - as no normal on display, i said it states PSP consol not the normal one only , anyway he agreed to scan core system and special addition xbox 360 , with the prey game, to prove it was just for consols not packs which deducted the £20 on both :-)

When he scanned the normal PSP or gigapack with the game - no £10 off.
(so I should have had my £10 off on initial purchase)

Duty manager wouldnt make desision on R&R after i pointed it out when they offered £10 back....phoning tommorrow after discussion with store manager.....hope I get it now - fingers crossed.
Offer on PSP and Cars game said week commencing 25/08/2006 so other stores may not discount also.....hope you bag some.!!!!

    Not a biggie but:

Pleased to get an R&R without so much as a squeak from the usually miserable cow on CS,

Wotsits x 2 (still not working for BOGOF)

Went to another store for more....no SEL at all so couldn't! But found

Aero Chunky x 4 (not working offer, buy 2 for £1.80). These are not the truffles as per a previous misprice, they are normal chunky choccy Aeros!

  • Right, posting this here, as it explains the overcharging going on on Xbox 360s and PS2s. I think it applies to PSPs, too.
OK, the problem with the SELs for the Xbox 360, PS2 and PSP offers is that the £10/20 only comes off with certain games. The SEL does not indicate this - it says "& Game". There is only one game with the Xbox 360 that will cause the reduction at the tills. There are two with the PS2 (Reservoir Dogs and a sports game). I don't know how many there are with the PSP, though. The POS does not indicate which games are in the offer (this is indicated by the yellow SEL under the actual games - if a game doesn't have a yellow SEL, it's not part of the offer and won't bring about the discount at the till). Right now, this is a problem nationally. The POS is wrong (it's not out of date), which results in an overcharge on any console bought with a game that is not in the offer.

I grabbed a PS2 plus game for free a few hours ago, so I'm a happy bunny. No arguments from management, either. In fact, the woman was very apologetic.

Braeburn apples (loose) large sign £1.29/kg, charged £1.39/kg SEL apparently £1.39/kg (according to CS), refund no problem.

This was in Tesco Alloa and the sign was removed. Might still be displayed in other stores though.

Noticed someone getting R&R on BOGOF Tesco A4 Laminator Pouches, 25 pack. BOGOF didnt come off at till (probably expired). Sign & SEL removed though.

Aero Chunky 2 for £1.80 not working at my local store tonight!

CS girl came back and said that there is a Head Office error message on the system! As I said in a post last night (on the discussion forum) they are slow at implementing corrections. Interestingly though, she had also brought back with her the Smarties 2 for £1.80 SEL. It may be worth a punt!
I now have a freezer full of meat and a cupboard full of chocolate!

    2 news ones I think

Ragu cooking sauces are BOGOF right now. Bogoff works, but there were two prices on the shelf. All the SELs said £1.13 each but there was a bigger BOGOF shelf talker that said £1.07 each.

I picked up 8 as even at £4.5X it's a good buy, but it was even better as they went through at £1.13. When they refund BOFOFs, you get the total money back not taking into account the free ones, so they paid me £4.52 to take them away!

Also Chrysumthums are £1.99 buy 2 for £3.00. The discount didn't come off.

    Another R&R!
