Making a mental note to keep out of the chocolate aisle as my figure was doing so well after giving birth 7 weeks ago and now I'm finding all these calorific misprices. don't know if i should be:T or :eek:

today I decided to buy an Xbox 360 and Prey game. I took it to the til, and checked to make sure the £20 discount for buying both together came off...it did!

I paid £279.99 for the system. Didnt seem right so on my way out of the shop I checked the label and it said £209!!!

I went to CS but they referred me to electricals. I politely pointed out the overcharge. She said I had bought the limited edition console which was more than the standard one!!?? The only lables and dummy boxes on display were 'standard' nothing about limited edition anywhere. I asked her to check with her manager.

The store manager came and said he would refund me but not let me keep product as the only system they had in stock was the limited edition one! I said there were two dummy boxes for the normal one on display so it is misleading. He refused. I asked him to double check with head Office and he agreed.

I would have gone along with whatever head office said. I could see the manager backing down on the phone, after a few minutes he hung up and sharply said "we're gonna refund him" and walked quickly away! £279.99 refund and product kept! Well chuffed. On my way out the store he was talking on his mobile about it saying 'but the boz was for the standard xbox' and he gave me an evil look!

I respect him doing his job, but if I hadnt read these boards I would have been fobbed off! Always take it to Head Office if you are overcharged and the store wont help!

yellow SEL expired 15/08, so got 2 should have got 4 but i've gotta get braver
