Thanks a lot for this one. I bought two of these today and got R&R eventually as new CS girl tried to give me £20 diff until reminded her of the policy behind her. Got manager involved who in return tried to fob me off saying that he didn't think it was for electrical goods. He then phoned the Area manager and after comparing the SEL and bar codes etc, decided that I was right and gave me full refund and goods.

Going again in an hours time for some more stuff as CS staff have now changed over.

Loads of packs on the shelf. This is a new product according to the label on pkt.
R&R on 3 packs priced around £3.50 each.

went to HAYES BULLS BRIDGE EXTRA and they have changed the price tag of the camera

Silverside Roasting Beef SEL £5.18/kg special price - labelled £6.24/kg. Bought for £9.34.

R&R no problem.

Tesco's frozen roast potatoes - 88p each, but look out for the last few bags that have "2 for £1.50" printed on them - the discount doesn't come off!!

tesco steam fresh rice. frozen section , sel buy 2 for £2. goes thought the till at £2.56 when both egg fried rice bags are put though the till. please note the bags which dos not have 2 for £2 on them are the ones to get.otherwise the discount comes off if it has got it written on them

I am no longer a R+R virgin.

In local store today I was able to get:

2x Tesco Beef Mince 800g SEL £1.96 Pack £2.22
Willow Farms Chicken Breast Fillets SEL £7.19 kg Pack £8.99 kg

Great!

However I guess I won't be able to do this again as there was another bloke who was trying to R+R a small trolley FULL of meat before I got to the checkout.

The CS rung it up calling the manager "It's another meat query". Went and checked and came back saying that it's now been changed.

A note to the greedy fellow, thank you. Where we all could have enjoyed the R+R at a couple of packs a week, your greed has now put an end to it.

Tesco Metro Liverpool Street, packs of 2 chicken breasts (skin on). SEL £8.26/kg, pack £8.45/kg. Had to spend a while explaining to the CS why this was an R&R, but eventually got there!
Also, earlier this week I saw mispriced pork chops at Metro Elephant & Castle, but the CS people are so awkward I couldn't face the inevitable quarrel. You'd think it came out of their own paycheques!

I haven't had one R&R where the CS staff didn't remove the SEL, so I think your anger is misplaced here...
