Picked up a Fujifilm FinePix A400 digital camera today.
SEL £79.97 (Out of date 1/8/06) Charged £89.97

Was offered the difference or a full refund but no camera.

Eventually ended up phoning HQ customer servcies and a very embarrased Assistant Manager had to back down and give me a full R & R.

Took me about 40 minutes in all but well worth it, I needed a new camera.

There was another camera there as well with an out of date SEL, might have been a Practika, not sure

Went fishing at Mr T`s` today and caught 5 packs of cod loin steaks pack stated £10.99kg SEL £9.99kg full R&R NO PROBS,CS said whilst putting in the bag `you`ll be having free dinner tonight` i said fantastic i`ll be back tomorrow for some rump steak.

My first R & R for ages and i wasn't even trying! Toddler bike with stabilisers, its a l'il Bratts one. Huge offer signs saying £24.97 but was charged £49.97. Was given R & R and an apology without even asking! The offer sign says ends 30/7/06. Hope this helps someone. (they also had helmets which i assume offer has ended on too) This was at Chichester. My daughters birthday pressie all sorted so i can now afford to give her a party as well so well chuffed!!

Clearance Section,

Berol Handwriting Pens, you know the red kinda slightly chunky pens. Pack of 2 with free yellow highlighter pen.

SEL 26p for the pack, bought 5 packs for kids going back to school and me for uni but charged 36p for 4 of them. Never noticed at the time and its not worth the petrol for 40p.

Barcodes as follows:- 3 501170 657980 = 36p
3 501170 657973 = 26p

Surely wouldn't just be 40p, but 36p x 4 packs = £1.44

You have quoted 2 diff bar codes - but does that mean the one pack you were charged 26p for looks any diff ( barring bar codes) than the other 4 ?

Absolutely no difference at all in the packs on the front, never even though to look at the barcodes to see if they were different when i bought them.

I've just scruitinised the back of the packs and there is a slight difference, above the bar codes are the letters / numbers BTS 89 / barcode 3 501170 657973 on the 26p pack and BTS 90 / barcode 3 501170 657980 on the 36p pack.

Other than this its identical. Not something your average consumer is going to check for.


Overcharge was 1 x 10p on each pack x 4 packs = 40p but if i had noticed at the time i could've claimed a r&r of 4 x 36p = £1.44 but didnt bother as it wasn't worth the petrol to go back for them and i needed the pens anyway and even at 36p a pack it was still a good bargain as most places sell the pens individually at around £1+ and a decent highlighter like a stabilo bloss (spelling?) is over £1 also.

Hope this makes sense.

just been to st ives tesco, they have lamb fillet down there SEL £8.45? but charged £8.99. label not removed!!!
