Who has / had the longest property chain for 2009?

With the end of the year fast approaching I wondered who may be in a similar position to me.
House on the market in February 2009
Sold in April :T ...... then fell through
Sold in July :T .... then fell through
Resold September .... just four properties in the chain - anticipated (and desired) completion by 31 December 2009 :T
End November - started chasing potential exchange dates thru Solicitor
1st December - bottom of the chain replied "we don't want to complete until January"
9th December - top of the chain fell through
17th December - bottom of the chain fell through
Now we are back on the market again, so are our buyers (who have been waiting, like us, patiently since July).
We are hoping that 2010 brings us better luck and a more reliable bottom half chain (we have had offer accepted on a new house so we are all good to go).
Nothing can surprise me anymore !!!
Can anyone else better this ???
