The mobile phone contract will show as a search on your credit report.
One search will not have a big effect.Do you have the money to pay off the cards? If so I'd just pay them off as there is not much financial benefit to sttozing considering BT charges in most cases. If you can't pay them off then yes you should either tr y to xfer to a 0% bt card or a low life of balance card to pay minimum interest.

    Hi

I'd say yes, apply for another 0% BT card.

Go for one from the MBNA stable, Virgin being the best deal at 16 months 0% (2.98% BT fee). MBNA tend to have generous credit limits so you may be able to transfer the lot over and simplify things.

    Regards

I thought Abbey had brought all their cards in-house to Santander? Or are they still in the transition process?

any other suggestions do think its best to pay off the £275 I owe with abbey thats leaves me with 2 c/c with barclays and tesco..

also do they take into consideration that my barclays current account i dont use is £1200 overdrawn im paying that bit by bit, do lenders/creditors know that ??
  • Pay off the Santander. Then I'd apply for a Virgin card and use that to pay off the other 2 cards, if you can.
Lenders can see most credit accounts (be that Credit cards, loans or overdrafts and such) but you need to get a copy of your Experian and Equifax reports to know just what exactly they'll be seeing.
  • i think what you could try is ring up one of them and tell them you've been offered a 0% balance transfer elsewhere and you're considering it, at least they'll offer you lower interest rate.
Money, control it. not the other way round
