Easyjet cancellation of flight and my rights

We were due to fly to Istanbul with Easyjet on the 22nd but they cancelled the flight due to the "adverse weather". They had a Refund link on their site which I have completed. But we also have lost money on the following (NOT booked via Easyjet):-

a) Hotel booked in Istanbul
b) Taxi to/from Istanbul airport to hotel
c) Luton Airport parking

My travel insurance says we cannot claim a penny because the flight was cancelled (not delayed).

What are my rights with respect to claiming any of a-c above back from Easyjet?

Easyjet will not cover any of the above. Does the cancellation not fall under your insurers defn of abandonment?

Afraid not. The Cancellation section of my Greenbee policy (one of the best apparently!) does not list an airline cancelling a ticket as a valid claim. I asked when I phoned if this was common to most insurance policies and was told yes.
