Question for a Postal Worker please

At 14.40 this afternoon I signed for a parcel, have just looked at the front of it (I thought it was recorded), and it was Special Deliver, guaranteed Next Day by 1pm, and the post mark on it was 21/12/09.
So not only was it not before 1pm, it was also not the next day, is it worth letting the sender know, as I would have thought they could claim something back for not having the service they paid for?

Never been a postal worker
So stop reading if you only want advice from them .
But looking outside of my window , if I got any post , would be grateful .
The side roads and pavements are lethal, yes the sender paid extra for a quicker service , but sometimes you just have to admit these times are hard.0 -
I know, but I sent a SD yesterday and it was there on time this morning. And this was coming up from London, so it's not really going from one isolated rural region to another, and the postie told me that it was today's delivery and not a carry over from yesterday (we were discussing something else as I signed for it)0

Never going looking for trouble it finds you soon enough as my dad always says
Let it go and be glad you got it"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."
All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.0 -
The sender can claim back the cost of postage (though I do agree with the sentiments of the other posters).Gone ... or have I?0

Due to the currrent weather conditions last I heard Royal Mail had suspended the Guarantee on this service. I may be wrong about this in your area though. I am not a postal worker but I used to be and now I run mailroom staff amongst others for a local council. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

well for starters, what time was it posted? if it missed the cut off then its posting date in effect is the 22nd
or it could have been delayed due to flight failures
as for the time well with the best intention in the world we try our best,
you see wit 5am starts our finsh time was 1pm so it worked fine
now we are 2pm and beyond so 1pm is a but of a problem
managers dont really care as long as the mail is out the door
but feel free to contact the seller if its an issue0
