Car Hire

Hi

We are hoping to drive to Paris in September (via Dover, on ferry) and are thinking of hiring a car rather than using our little P reg Fiesta!

I was wondering if a) you have to have a licence for a certain amount of time as I only passed end of May

and b) if you can take it out of the Country

Anyone know?

Thanks

It is all dependant on the individual hire car companies and in many cases what size of vehicle you are hiring. Many do have a requirement for a min of 1 year of a full licence and others have an age restriction of 25 and over for any of the larger vehicles.

Foreign use again is simply down to the hirer but again there is rarely an issue but it does have to be said up front.

It may be more cost effective to take alternate transport to get to paris and then just hire a car whilst you are there (unless of cause you are intending to buy a lot of things and need the cars space to carry back all your goodies.
