well i think that tesco should sell ALL items online or instore at the same price. How is it fair that if someone returns a half price item, that then someone alse (not knowing its half the price online) would then buy it. Im not talking a single word about returns etc.. But do think that Tesco are at fault here. Shame on them.

    of course lol.
what does make me laugh even more is if those people taking the moral high ground makes them feel better.
last year i had a cash machine spit out £20 notes instead of £10 notes guess what i made £50 not deblibrately but the natwest cash machine made an error my bank never contacted me or took out the correct amount these errors with all companies go on all the time till they discover an error they then close that loophole down example the cash machine was closed 30 mins later after i came out of the supermarket. these errors are just lost but we all pay more in end they never really lose it is called operational error.
but as to whether most could be bothered the answer is no prob not

    anyway on that note
    happy christmas everyone
  • Mmm, but i would have taken the extra cash back to the bank as I would know that it didnt belong to me but to the bank.
It's not okay for me to lose my purse and someone else find it and keep the contents just because it was an accidental loss.

I think if you take anything back after Christmas without a receipt you'll get a gift card not a refund!

i never meant to offend anyone or start an argument, I was just asking a question as there's some things that I want to order - and I would buy them in store rather than pay postage if they were on sale in store.

It does seem like stealing if you do it deliberately but if it just happens, what then? I find it amazing how stocking up on coca cola with 3 bottles for the price of less than 1 is ok but otherr siimilar things aren't?

Anyway, no need for anyone to be funny with anyone else. Sorry if i put the idea in anyone's head, I'll think twice before I post anything againin. I've noticed there are some very touchy people on this board who are quick to jump down people's throats at the slightest thing and I think it's sad when mostly people are really nice.

On a slightly different note, there was something on the news the other day saying that if you buy online you have 7 days to notify them you are going to return it and then time to return it to wherever. They must refund you the full cost you have paid tho you are responsible for paying the postage to send it back. They may not still charge you for the original postage and they may not charge a restocking fee - these things are illegal (now who's trying to steal from us huh??) If any sites try to do this then contact them and then refer them to OFT (i think).
I'm playing all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order!

Tesco's policy on returning things without a receipt is that they will not give you a refund or a gift card but you may use the value of the item against any other shopping you may have. But if it's clothing then only in the clothing department.

How that works after xmas when so many gifts are bought I have no idea!

Does that mean tesco are commiting fraud by charging a customer double online for something that is half price in store, or vice versa?
