Take care of yourself - I landed up in hospital for a week in November- after a CT scan they found I had pneumonia and a blood clot in each lung.

    Sue

That is so sweet of the kids to want to treat you to a nice lunch:A

I got sniffly just reading it.

So pleased with myself that I did not woofle down loads of fatty foods yesterday. I did have some wine with a meal and a glass or two afterward but not go mad. Since the health scare I have eaten very sensibly and have gone down nearly two dress sizes in two months.

    Pastures

Relatives of that age did not have sherry or brandy for medicinal purposes?

Roads are still icy so think today will be a quiet day and we can just enjoy having all our Dds at home. DH has made me a pot of tea and suggested I go and put my feet up so I took the chance for peace and quiet.

I was the boring begger sat at the dinner table with a glass of water! I might have a drink tomorrow (well today now) but will have to work out if I really want to pay out for a taxi home.

I was one of the designated drivers for the second year running. Next year the useless bunch of drunkards can all walk.

    Oh yes it did...

Can't believe it, woke up this morning, and for the first time in 2 weeks, actually feel slightly better.

Still got a hideous cough, but no more temperature! No more aches and pains!

Must have been watching Johnny Depp on Pirates of the Caribbean last night that did the trick. I enjoyed it immensely. Didn't discover until this morning that it as part 3, and I've only ever seen part 1 before (Part 2 is mysteriously on on New Year's Eve - no idea why they're showing it out of order...), I didn't have the faintest idea what was going on throughout the film. But I could watch Johnny just changing a tyre... mmm, lovely. :)

PS Guess which lucky girl got given a Johnny Depp mug? :p

So pleased to hear you feel better Carol...we sat and watched Pirates last night while I slowly but very surely got ever so slightly drunk.

Johnny Depp started to look more and more gorgeous as the film went on and the contents of the bottle got lower.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
