I have a Sky + box which fills up very quickly with 5 of us in the house all wanting to record different things. I wondered if there is any way of copying things to a writeable DVD from the Sky box , would a normal recordable DVD player be able to do this?
Thank you
Thank you

You hook your sky+ Scart output into your DVD recorders scart input.. press play on the sky+ box, press record on the DVD recorder.
Bosh
If you want to record several things back to back, you can set the 'copy' mode in Sky+ so several shows will play one after another.0 -
hi,
we quite frequently set ours off over night. if you select the programmes you want to tape and press the blue?? copy button then select when you have them all listed.
Then it'll tell you to press record on dvd player - you do and it'll run them one after the other without you needing to be there.
Don't forget tho some channels like movies have encryption on and you WON'T be able to do the above with those.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
But it will only record in real time, so suggest you set this up and then go to bed!4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.

Thank you both for that. I am off to look at a new DVD player with writer then. It isn't films I want to keep it is dozens of blooming Top Gear programmes for my OH mainly as they have never been released on DVD to buy.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yes, hook up the video out scart of your Sky + box to the video in scart on the DVD player. Set the DVD player input to the feed from the Sky box, set your Sky box to play whatever and hit record on the DVD player.
It only does it in real time though so its a bit of a pain if you want to dump a 3 hour movie from the Sky box to the DVD player.
Edit: I am obviously a bit slow off the mark!0
