Smeg fridges

Hi All,

Bought a cool retro SMEG fridge about 1 year ago. One or two small issues like the door seal not closing completely - but put up with it as design was so nice.

Just after the 1 year anniversary, all the door trays fell out as plastic mouldings snapped off. Contacted SMEG who were very arrogant and advised that plastic parts (therefore almost all the fridge???) were not covered at all in the warranty. :mad:

Have spent £1200 on a fridge that looks great, but is a complete waste of money - do yourself a favour and don't buy one!!

Has anyone had a similar problem? Any advice on resolution would be welcome

A £1200 quid fridge should last 6 years plus without a shadow of doubt! Question is did you buy it from SMEG or from a retailer? If its the retailer you need to pursue this avenue for a refund/repair/replacement (they do not have to refund though)

I have to be honest..I've read loads of bad reviews for the Smeg FAB fridges, but we have one of the one's with the freezer bit at the top (think its FAB30), and we've had no trouble with it at all. It looks gorgeous and works perfectly.
