Nationwide Flex Account & Paypal/MoneyBookers

I was just wondering if i can use my Flex Account (With crappy Cash Card) and sign up with Paypal or MoneyBookers and spend my money online through them (e.g. i buy something on ebay, pay using paypal and then paypal takes the money out of my bank account to make the payment, just like it would with a debit card).
Would a normal basic Nationwide Flex Account (Cash Card) allow me to do this? or will i have to upgrade my Flex Account to a Current Account so that i have a debit card instead of a cash card so that i can use Paypal or MoneyBookers?
Oh and i already tried upgrading a long time ago and was told no because i have a low credit rating (even though i've never had any debt to my name or misused my account in any way).... but gonna try again after xmas (most likely to be told the same BS as before). The thing that annoys me the most about upgrading is that i meet all the eligible criteria on their site although they do say "you may be eligible for an upgrade" but when going in to do it all, i fail on the credit scoring (Something they dont seem to mention on their site as part of their criteria).... yea im unemployed on JSA atm if anyone was wondering, been on it a long time and still cant find work.....
From what i know Nationwide has 2 types of Flex Accounts, a basic Flex Account (Cash Card) and a Current Account (Visa Debit Card).
I tried opening a new account with Natwest ages ago but had 1 problem with them, i couldnt provide 2 pieces of ID (Driving Licence or Passport), i was told that i couldnt use my Provisional as ID because i was 25.... apparently they want a Full Licence as ID once your 25+ and wont accept a Provisional.... as for using a Passport, i dont have 1 because i've never left the country and atm i cant afford to pay for 1 so im stuck with annoying Nationwide for the time being until i find work or get enough money to sort the Passport out.
I would use my JSA to sort the Passport but i cant really do anything with the money atm because all of it goes towards helping pay bills even though thats now a waste of time as we're about to be made homeless probably next month because my dad can no longer pay the morgage anymore (pretty much been advised to surrender home or go bankrupt, although council said they might buy the place and rent it back to us or find us somewhere else to live).
Yup! u guessed it, still stuck living with parents lol.
I just wanna have things setup so i can spend my money online when i actually have some (will have to look into Ukash and see if that would work if i cant use Paypal or MoneyBookers) and then worry about opening a new account with another bank later once i have the bits and pieces i need.

you cant link your cash card to use on paypal.
however you should be able to link the bank account itself with a direct debit. you can set this up on your paypal account.

Being unemployed and reliant on benefits does not neccessary preclude you from accessing full current account services. In order to build up a good record set up a range of Direct Debits and Standing Orders on your cashcard then if say over a period of six months they may give you a Visa Debit, that is if you regulary can manage this transactions without being overdrawn. One option is ask the society if they will give you a chequebook with no cheque guarantee card (they can do it at times on the cashcard and order and pay by post with a cheque, it will add further to your case. It is all about trust. I had the old style Halifax Cardcash account with Solo or election and a chequebook with no guarantee for years I got turned down, then they decided to give me a full current account, now they are preapproving me for £5,000 overdraft. I then opened a account eight months later with Nationwide and after a while they are prepared to preapprove me for a £1,500 0verdraft. All it is about is showing that you can handle money.0
